Attractive bookplate on front pastedown and heraldic bookplate on rear pastedown. Contemporary vellum binding, soiled and marked, with wear and loss to tips of spine. Corners worn. Ex library Marchionis Salsae. Bookplate of Giovanni Demenco Berio, Marchese di Salza (d.1791) and Francesco Mario Berio, Marchese di Salza (1765-1820). Armorial bookplate of William Ward, Viscount Dudley and Ward of Dudley, 1750-1823. Books with both of these plates can be found in a number of libraries including UCLA and the University of Toronto.
